The LMP DJ’s are Dillon Koenig* & Adam K**, the driving force behind the rapidly growing ‘Like-Minded People’ brand. The guys are a multi-faceted duo - DJs, producers, remixers and promoters – and are forging an imprint in dance music culture that is here to stay.
Here's the ‘how they came to be’ bit… In 1998 Dillon started at Lancaster University & when he was leant a copy of Daft Punk’s ‘Homework’ and Cassius’ ‘1999’ in the first week and his love for house music began. When he left university Dillon moved between New York & London, DJing wherever and whenever he could. On one of his stints in the UK (after leaving a job working for Hillary Clinton to work in Music PR) he met Adam K (who was working as a radio producer - a job that Adam has been doing since 1998, working at Capital FM, BBC Radio 1 and most recently Kiss FM. A job path that Dillon has since followed too & now works producing two of the world’s biggest dance music radio shows). Their passion for new music brought Adam and Dillon together, and it was their joint frustration with the same unwritten rules of club-land that they soon developed a plan to run a night of their own, and Like-Minded People Presents was born!
So what is The LMP Sound? It's a cocktail of influences and sounds described in their own words as “tough, techy, jackin, jump-up house music”. Their sets always promote crowd participation (not least because of their infamous freebies) and you'll hear the same cocktail of bouncy superlatives in their productions and remixes. The LMP DJs have appeared at parties ranging from Ministry Of Sound, KissDaFunk, Pete Tong’s Wonderland, Size, Release Yourself & Judgement Sundays to Toolroom Knights, Inside Out Glasgow, Moondance London, Pacha and the legendary Serious at what was The Cross.
No strangers to production, Dillon and Adam have been involved in a number of projects, Dillon as himself and Adam as his alter ego’s ‘Elektrus’ & ‘Ctrl-Alt-Dlte’. ‘Chinese Whispers’ from Elektrus was featured on Ministry of Sound's Underground Ibiza 08 compilation and entered Beatport’s Top 100 Chart!
Together as the LMP DJs great things are happening! They have remixed tracks on Micky Slim's Bomb Squad label and Matty Schewarz’s Definiteve label. Their newest solo release, ‘Doggin’ (released on Bandito Records) received support from Judge Jules on his Radio 1 show. They also have a stack of forthcoming releases ready to roll which will be released on their own label – Like-Minded People Recordings.

‘Like-Minded People’ was born into the world in April 2005 when Adam & Dillon started up a night in the function room of a small bar called Potion in central London. They started it mainly because they wanted a place where all their friends could meet up once a month, hear some great house music and have fun. The night was called Like-Minded People presents…
5 years on, LMP Presents… has travelled all over the U.K and Europe, hosting parties in most major cities. Highlights include 3 years hosting The Loft & Baby Box rooms at The Ministry of Sound; hosting an LMP room at Eden, Ibiza, in conjunction with Judgement Sundays for the past 3 years; monthly parties at the amazing Superfly, in Leicester; back-room take-overs at Kissdafunk, Leeds; and ADE for the past 3 years. Previous guests of LMP include dignitaries such as Annie Mac, Fergie, Rocky (X-Press 2), Deepgroove, Micky Slim, Jamie Fanatic, Stupidfresh, Ben Macklin & Sonny Wharton, to name but a few.
So what is Like Minded People really all about? Ultimately it "offers a party where pretensions are left at the door, a place to to dance and have fun surrounded by Like-Minded People". Expect the personally touch, expect to find Adam & Dillon having it on the dancefloor. And definitely expect to meet a lot of new friends...

In 2009 Adam K & Dillon Koenig decided they wanted a spiritual home for their music, and Like-Minded People Recordings was born. The guys will be the main outlet for their own productions, but it won’t be exclusively about the LMP DJs. Like-Minded People is all about equality and giving the helping hand to the bedroom DJ/producer. The ethos for the label is, if it’s big we’ll sign it. The label is still in it’s infancy, but expect to see some bangers forthcoming on LMP Recordings very shortly.
